UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of many fighters on the roster of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) that identify as Muslim. "The Eagle" has also expressed on multiple occasions that he prioritizes the tradition of Ramadan over fighting. Now fight fans can take a look into the religious practice. Nurmagomedov earned the undisputed UFC lightweight title back at UFC 223. The fighter headlines the highly anticipated live pay-per-view event in a match up against Al Iaquinta. The fight was initially set to be against Tony Ferguson. However, Ferguson injured himself just six days ahead of the event. Still, Nurmagomedov would go on to earn a dominant unanimous decision victory over Iaquinta for the title. Following the big win, Nurmagomedov revealed that he will be taking some time to rest following his big win. Most notably, the fighter revealed that he will be participating in Ramadan.
