Did Holm’s Body Composition Change Post-Ronda Rousey Victory?

Holly Holm was a heavy favorite heading into her UFC 196 title defense against Miesha Tate. Holm was not only the reigning UFC champion and undefeated in her professional career, but she was also the lone woman to defeat former champion Ronda Rousey.

During much of the fight with Tate, Holm seemed to be employing her usual gameplan which was counterstriking, footwork, and using her boxing to set up kicks. Tate was also very well prepared for this strategy, and her will-to-win proved to be the difference-maker.

However, some fans have pointed out that Holly physically looked different than the woman who defeated Rousey in November, but when well-respected members of the media also see these changes, maybe there’s something to it?

Dave Meltzer of wrestlingobserver.com pointed out on his radio show that he also noticed some differences in Holm’s physical appearance.

Whether there is anything to this, only Holly knows, but it doesn’t necessarily indicate any wrongdoing. Do you think a possible injury or some other circumstance might have contributed to Holly’s performance, or we all just reading too much into this?
