Eddie Alvarez has not stepped foot inside the octagon since his devastating loss to Conor McGregor at UFC 205. While the loss cost him the UFC lightweight title, Alvarez’s stock is still as high as ever. The top-ranked lightweight is being eyed for a return to the octagon at UFC 211 later on this year, and it is likely he will be standing across the octagon from Dustin Poirier.

MMA Kings would later go on to correct themselves that the bout is slated for “UFC 211”. Alvarez is coming off of a hard loss to lightweight champion Conor McGregor at UFC 205 last November. UFC 211 will be headlined by Stipe Miocic’s second championship defense, this time against the always dangerous Junior dos Santos
