‘UFC 208: Holm vs. De Randamie’ Fighter Can’t Make Heavyweight Limit, Pulled From Card On 24-Hours Notice

UFC President Dana White.

The stagehands at Ultimate Fighting Championship have set up the octagon inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York for “UFC 208” which is set to take place tomorrow. While the main event fight between Germaine de Randamie and Holly Holm has been made official for Saturday as both women made weight, not every fight will go on as planned.

Heavyweight Justin Willis was not medically cleared for his upcoming fight with Marcin Tybura, and as a result he has been pulled from the card. With just less than twenty-four hours to go until fight night, Tybura has been pulled from the card altogether as the UFC could not find a replacement for him on time.

He is the first heavyweight in over four years to be pulled for weight issues.

The fight was scheduled to take place on UFC’s subscription service, “UFC Fight Pass” and will likely push the start time of the card back to 7:00 PM ET from 6:30 PM ET. Tune in to MMA Imports for live results!
