New First! Fighter Sprays Blood All Over UFC 209 Broadcast Booth

The stagehands at Ultimate Fighting Championship set up the octagon at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada for “UFC 209” and even though the main event was considered lackluster by most, the card should be considered an overall success. The main card kicked off with a massive heavyweight bout between Alistair Overeem and Mark Hunt that saw one of the most devastating knockouts of the year take place.

In the minutes leading up to the knockout blow, Hunt had opened himself up on his shin and ultimately found out he broke his tibia. Blood was pouring freely from Hunt’s cut and made a mess of the octagon, painting the canvas red. After Overeem fired off a right high kick to the head of Hunt, some blood flowed from inside the octagon directly onto Joe Rogan’s notes.

Rogan made sure to mention it on the broadcast, and you can guarantee he asked for a change of notes after that fight.
