Jon Jones Breaks His Silence, Comments On D.C.’s Weight-Cut Fiasco

The absence of Jon “Bones” Jones in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s light heavyweight division hasn’t gone by unnoticed. That’s not to say that the division was boring in his absence, but, the champion of the division would not let the general public forget about Jones because he talked trash about him every chance he could.

Now, Jones has turned the tables.

Jones is in Buffalo, New York to attend “UFC 210” on Saturday evening and despite his suspension, fans and fighters alike are questioning whether or not the fighter is there to plant some seeds for his return fight. Jones was forced out of his “UFC 200” fight with Cormier after it was revealed he had tested positive for a banned substance. With just a couple more months to go until his suspension expires, Jones took to the media and shared his thoughts about Cormier’s rough weight cut at the “UFC 210” early weigh ins. He told Flo Combat:

“I think the weigh-in drama is also funny. hat team over at AKA isn’t looking too good right now with all the injuries and Khabib [Nurmagomedov] and Daniel missing weight is something that needs to be managed better over there. I think it’s also very unprofessional for a champion not to make weight. There’s no excuse.”

“He had several months to get ready for one event and I hope this isn’t an indicator of where he’s at mentally. I definitely look at it as a sign of a weakness, and if I were Anthony Johnson I’d find confidence in that.”
