Tyron Woodley Getting Back to Training for 4th Title Fight in 12 Months

With the recent news of flyweight champion Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson making his record tying tenth title defense at UFC on FOX 24, it would appear that other champions are ready to get back into the octagon.

UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is getting back in the gym, as he looks for his fourth title fight in twelve months. Most recently, the welterweight champion is riding a majority decision victory over Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson.

Woodley scored the belt at UFC 201 back in July, making it possible that the champion is still looking to land a spot on International Fight Week. Woodley defeated former champion Robbie Lawler on July 30, 2016.

Tyron Woodley went to Instagram to give the news.

“#TRAININGCAMP Starts #Today The next time I set foot in the #Octagon it will be 4 Title Fights in 12months. Starting with the Spirit, Mind, Soul and the Body will catch up. The fight outside the Cage has always proven to be tougher then the one inside. Time to win on both ends! @ufc#ufc #ChampCamp #AndStill#WhoGotMyBack !” He said.
