Big Money Rolled In For Diaz After Vape-Gate Incident — ‘I changed the game’

Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight contender Nate Diaz recently spent some time with Ariel Helwani in a special edition of The MMA Hour. On the special edition, Nate Diaz had a few things to talk bout.

One of the subjects of interest during the interview was the mixed martial artist’s “vape-gate.” At the post-fight press conference for UFC 202, Nate Diaz brought with him a vaporizer. During the conference, the fighter smoked cannabidiol oil (CBD).

The substance is considered cannabis, but lacks the euphoric chemical THC. Still, the fighter was given a warning from USADA. At any rate, Nate Diaz says the incident was profitable for him in the end.

In his interview on The MMA Hour, Nate Diaz said “It don’t matter. I banked out in the cannabis industry from it. … It was a good move and it was organic.”
