D.C. Remains Classy, Asks Fans To Give Jones A Fair Chance

Daniel Cormier has shown a lot of class following the news of UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones failing another drug test.

On Tuesday, it was revealed Jones had failed an in-competition drug test prior to his fight with Cormier at UFC 214.

Since the failed drug test came from a sample taken the day before the fight, Jones was still able to compete at UFC 214. Jones went on to knock Cormier out in the third round and won the UFC title.

After hearing the news, Cormier made a statement and posted it on his Instagram page.

“Thank you all for the overwhelming support. Let’s give Jon time and what he’s entitled to, due process. Thanks again. DC,” Cormier wrote on his Instagram page.

Below, you can see Cormier’s entire statement regarding Jones’ failed drug test.

If it is proven Jones did indeed take steroids, Cormier’s loss to Jones will likely be overturned and the UFC may give him back the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship.
