Gonya is 11-2 in his career, holding a more modest five knockout victories on his record. Tete boasts a total 21 knockout wins on his record of 26-3. The two pugilists entered the squared circle, but only one the champion was left standing moments later.

Breaking the record for fastest knockout in a major boxing championship fight, Tete earned a one punch, walk-off knockout over Gonya in a brief 11 seconds.
