White On Mayweather To UFC: ‘Everyone Wants To See Him Take A Shin To The Face’

Much has been made about a potential Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor II, to take place inside the UFC’s Octagon.

And while Floyd is insistent he can ink a billion dollar deal with the world’s largest Mixed Martial Arts promotion, he’s remained steadfast in his retirement.

During their worldwide MayMac media tour though, Mayweather told Conor Mcgregor that they would do part 1 in the boxing ring, and part 2 in the Octagon. However, nobody really took that offer serious.

As recently as last month, UFC president Dana White said he was negotiating with the Mayweather camp to see Floyd rematch Conor in the UFC. Floyd would come out and deny those talks took place, and it killed all hope of the fight ever happening.

Now, ahead of tonight’s UFC 220 event, as Dana White makes the promotional rounds, he told a room full of select media, that he’s still open to the idea.

“If Floyd wants to fight in the octagon and get out of his Showtime deal, let’s do it.”

But the UFC president didn’t stop there, stating, “I think that’s the only way people would care this time. Do you know how many people want to see that guy take a shin to the face?”
