Luke Rockhold Cryptically Announces His Move To Light-Heavyweight

Former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold suffered a brutal loss at UFC 221, failing in his attempt to secure the interim belt. Now the former title holder has come forward to offer a cryptic hint to a possible run in the light heavyweight division.

Rockhold faced off against tough middleweight contender Yoel Romero at UFC 221. The two mixed martial arts warriors were set to face off for the interim title, but Romero ended up missing weight for the fight.

Consequently, Rockhold was the only competitor eligible to earn the interim belt. In the end, Romero still earned a knockout finish over his opponent in the third round.

As seen in the video above, Rockhold has since taken to the internet to share a video of himself miming the number 205 while preparing to eat a series of desserts. The fighter appears to be gearing up for a possible run within the UFC’s light heavyweight division.

As a member of American Kickboxing Academy, Rockhold is teammates with the reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. However, Cormier is currently moving up in weight to challenge UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic for his title.
