Carmouche came into the first round with a furry. The fighter dictated the pace for much of the opening five minutes, dropping some bombs on her opponent.

Carmouche managed to take Maia to the canvas, driving down some brutal ground and pound in the process. This was seemingly a dominant round for Carmouche.

The second round was a more methodical pace, as Maia began to pepper her opponent with shots. Within the final minute, Carmouche landed another takedown that brought the fight back to the canvas.

The final round quickly made its way back to the canvas, as Carmouche made her way to a dominant position over Maia. Maia made it back to her feet before the end of the final round, but failed to capitalize on the moment. This was another dominant round for the MMA veteran.
