Mixed martial arts veteran Liz Carmouche, one of the first women's mixed martial artists to ever step inside the octagon, is making her next octagon performance tonight. Carmouche faced off against Ronda Rousey in the first ever women's MMA bout inside the octagon back in 2013. Now the veteran fighter has stepped inside the octagon once again. Now the time has come to take a look at the UFC results from the match up. UFC Fight Night 133 is going down inside the CenturyLink Arena in Boise, Idaho this Saturday, July 14. In the featured UFC Fight Pass prelim of the night, Liz Carmouche is facing off against Jennifer Maia in a women's flyweight match up. Carmouche came into the first round with a furry. The fighter dictated the pace for much of the opening five minutes, dropping some bombs on her opponent. Carmouche managed to take Maia to the canvas, driving down some brutal ground and pound in the process. This was seemingly a dominant round for Carmouche. The second round was a more methodical pace, as Maia began to pepper her opponent with shots. Within the final minute, Carmouche landed another takedown that brought the fight back to the canvas. The final round quickly made its way back to the canvas, as Carmouche made her way to a dominant position over Maia. Maia made it back to her feet before the end of the final round, but failed to capitalize on the moment. This was another dominant round for the MMA veteran. UFC Results: Liz Carmouche def. Jennifer Maia via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27 and 29-28) https://twitter.com/UFCFightPass/status/1018276399289782272 https://twitter.com/ufc/status/1018278873019006977 For more MMA news click here.
