In an interview with TMZ Sports, UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier made his opinion of former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey clear.
“Can she be the person that she was a couple years ago? I don’t think so. This game has evolved to a point that it is very difficult, especially if your game is very limited.” He said.
Continuing his train of thought, the lightweight champion continued
“Can she go in there and win some fights? Yes. Can she beat women in 10 seconds, 19 seconds, 38 seconds? I think those days are gone. That’s not happening anymore. Everyone is just too well rounded.”
Ronda Rousey is coming off of a loss to Amanda Nunes by TKO in the first round of last December’s UFC 207.
Daniel “DC” Cormier is set to defend his title against Anthony Johnson on April 8, 2017 at UFC 200 in the KeyBank Center of Buffalo, New York.
