Cormier won the vacant UFC light heavyweight title by defeating Johnson in April 2015. He has since defended the title once defeating Alexander Gustafsson in Oct. 2015.

Cormier is coming off a decision win over former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva in a nontitle fight in July at UFC 200.

Johnson has looked incredible in his last three fights since losing to Cormier. Johson has defeated Jimi Manuwa, Ryan Bader, and former title challenger Glover Teixeira all by knockout.

UFC 210 will take place at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. Former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman will also fight at the event against Gegard Mousasi.
