D.C. Promises No Wrestling In Fight Against “Rumble” — ‘I’ll Fold Him On The Feet!’

The UFC Light Heavyweight Championship will be up for grabs when Daniel Cormier steps into the octagon at “UFC 210” to defend his belt against Anthony “Rumble” Johnson. The two have met once before and while Cormier impressed while they were on their feet, it was clear that Johnson was getting outclassed while on the mats. “Rumble” has likely been training submission and takedown defense relentlessly to counter Cormier’s skillset, but it appears as if he won’t have to worry about the ground aspect of the game.

Cormier commented on the fight being made official, and vowed to throw down with Johnson at “UFC 210” rather than wrestle on UFC Tonight:

“I get to go in there and fold up Rumble Johnson like a nice load of laundry. No wrestling. I’m standing up with Rumble Johnson. You say you’re going to knock me – prove it to me on April 8th. I’ll be waiting for you. I’m going to stand with this dude. What’s the worst that can happen?”
