Diego Brandao Has A Fight In Russia, Gets In Full Blown Scuffle At Today’s Weigh-in

On Friday, former UFC fighter Diego Brandao got into a shoving match during the weigh-in for his upcoming fight.

On Saturday, Brandao will fight Murad Machaeva at Fight Nights Global 58 in Russia. The event will air on UFC Fight Pass.

In 2016, Brandao was released from the UFC due to his conduct outside of the cage. He was released following accusations of assault and battery.

Brandao is coming off a submission loss to undefeated featherweight Brian Ortega last January at UFC 195.

Brandao is a former winner of The Ultimate Fighter. He defeated featherweight contender Dennis Bermudez to win the TUF tournament. Brandao has a 6-4 UFC record. His only other UFC losses came to some of the best in the division including Darren Elkins, Dustin Poirier, and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.

Machaeva is on an 11-fight win streak going into the biggest fight of his MMA career. He has a professional record of 19-1 with nine submission wins.
