“Super” Sage Northcutt’s time in the octagon has been brief, but it has already been a wild ride for the young fighter. He amazed the crowd during his debut performance and wrapped up his dominant win with a picture-perfect front flip. The karate fighter eventually made his way to Tri-Star before ultimately training with Tyron Woodley, helping him prepare for his championship fight with Stephen Thompson at “UFC 209”.
It seems that Northcutt has been invited to yet another camp, however this one is a bit more prestigious. Not everybody gets to train with the Diaz Brothers, but Nick and Nate have apparently invited Sage to train with them! After his loss to Mickey Gall at “UFC on FOX”, Sage ran into Nick and Nate backstage and had some words with him (via. Yahoo Sports):
“They mentioned getting some training together in the future so we’ll see if that happens. They were just super nice guys so it was cool to meet them.”
