UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes is on top of the world after knocking Ronda Rousey out in just forty-eight seconds. The Brazilian is already eyeing a shot at featherweight gold after Holly Holm and Germaine De Randamie duke it out for the vacant championship at “UFC 208”, but it seems like the UFC boss has other ideas for Nunes.
White sat down with the media during the post-fight press conference for “UFC on FOX 23” and admitted that Nunes needed to slow down and defend the championship at least once:
“Pump the brakes, pump the brakes, let’s defend the title first. Let her defend her title. She hasn’t defended her title. Everybody wants to jump around these days. We’ve got to start pumping the brakes around here.”
