Ultimate Fighting Championship officials and Al Iaquinta have not always had the best relationship and a slight mix up almost pushed the New York fighter into retirement, but it appears as if the lightweight could be finding his way back to the octagon sooner rather than later.
Iaquinta was told, as a punishment for missing a public appearance, that he would not be able to earn any fighting bonuses for the next several fights. Sean Shelby and a couple other helping hands at the UFC made sure that Iaquinta was in a good mood at the end of a recent meeting, however:
Im dead & bloated but w/ royalty & look for Al Iaquinta soon in an Octagon near you @ALIAQUINTA @MattSerraUFC @raylongomma
