Ultimate Fighting Championship had a monumental year in 2016. Mega stars Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz raised the bar for pay-per-view sales to a new level with “UFC 196” and “UFC 202”. Ronda Rousey made her return to the octagon only to suffer another devastating knockout at year’s end. Interim UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones was forced out of his fight with Daniel Cormier just days before their clash at “UFC 200”. And you can’t forget about the sale of the UFC from Zuffa to WME-IMG.
While all these hot-button topics all took place last year, a great year of fights was overshadowed. Reed Kuhn (author of FightNomics) compieled an insanely detailed graph of all of the outcomes of every fight of 2016:
No @UFC this weekend?
No problem.
Take a moment to look back at all 493 UFC fights in 2016, and how they all ended (in one graph!). pic.twitter.com/MkAO8hkBIw— Fightnomics Reed (@Fightnomics) February 25, 2017
