Fans of the sport only get to watch the pain that fighters endure while inside the cage, not knowing just how much more difficult the path to the fight truly is. Fighters sacrifice their blood, sweat, and tears to put on a show under the bright lights and very few make it to the premier fight organization in the world. When young fighters make it to the pinnacle so soon, they tend to stay there for as long as they can.
Thirty-three year old Phillipe Nover has confirmed his retirement through social media.

He made his way into the UFC as a contestant on “The Ultimate Fighter Season 12” where he suffered defeat in the tournament finals. After losing three in a row, Nover would go on to conquer the regional scene of MMA before making his way into Bellator where he gathered a record of 2-1.
He made his way back into the octagon in May of 2015 where he earned a split decision win over Yui Chul Nam. He would go on to lose his last three fights before calling it a career.
