Fans of the sport only get to watch the pain that fighters endure while inside the cage, not knowing just how much more difficult the path to the fight truly is. When young fighters make it to the pinnacle so soon, they tend to stay there for as long as they can.
However, at just twenty-eight years old it seems as if James Moontasri has decided to hang up his gloves. The Black House welterweight fighter threw down with the likes of Joe Ellenberger, Cody Pfister, Alex Morono, and Alex Oliveira throughout his career. His last outing in the octagon resulted in a unanimous decision loss.
He confirmed his retirement on his Instagram account in a post you can see below:
