Actor Kevin Smith is a huge fan of MMA, so seeing him with the biggest names in the sport is not terribly out of the ordinary.
That being said, it’s not every day that Smith brings some along for Television. As first reported by Fox Sports, Chris Weidman and Bas Rutten got a chance to perform with Smith on a show and took it.
Airing on Monday at 8:00 P.M, former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman will be reprising his role as a police officer along side former heavyweight champion Bas Rutten on the new show “Kevin Can Wait.”
Weidman first appeared as a police officer in the first season of Kevin Smith’s new show, as a cameo. While this will be Bas Rutten’s first appearance on “Kevin Can Wait,” the MMA veteran co-starred along side Kevin Smith in the movie “Here Comes the Boom.”
While Rutten is retired from the sport, Weidman has a big fight ahead of him at UFC 210 in April. He will be facing Gegard Mousasi in the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York.
