On Tuesday, UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping made a video of himself commentating over Yoel Romero’s last fight.
On his Instagram, Bisping accused Romero of cheating during his fight against former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman.
“We see here, Yoel Romero, once again, doing his cheating techniques. Look at him. His corner have covered him with water. Romero is, ‘I don’t know what’s going on, buddy. What are you talking about? I haven’t done anything.’ His corner practically threw a bucket of water on him at the end of the round to get some extra time, so he can get his breath. Look at him. With his little, short, pathetic arms. Come on buddy, swing that fresh air. See you soon buddy. See you soon.”
UFC President Dana White recently confirmed Romero will get the next opportunity at Bisping’s title.
Bisping is currently sidelined until the spring due to getting surgery on his knee.
Romero’s knockout win over Weidman is what earned him his shot at the middleweight title. He is both unbeaten in the UFC and is undefeated at middleweight. He is on an eight-fight win streak with wins over Derek Brunson, Tim Kennedy, Lyoto Machida, and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza.
Bisping is coming off of his first successful title defense in October. At UFC 204, he won a decision against Dan Henderson.
