UFC Bantamweight Champion Cody Garbrandt went to Los Angeles to meet the new UFC owners on Wednesday.
Garbrandt posted a photo with the UFC owners, WME-IMG, on his Instagram. He and the new owners of the premier MMA organization appeared to be happy following their meeting.
Some UFC fighters, such as UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor, have recently complained about not getting meetings or talking with Ari Emanuel or Patrick Whitesell, who run WME-IMG. This may suggest the new owners have high hopes for their newly crowned bantamweight champion.
Garbrandt is currently filming the next season of The Ultimate Fighter. Garbrandt and his former teammate TJ Dillashaw are coaching opposite of each other. After the show airs, Garbrandt is expected to defend his title for the first time against Dillashaw.
Garbrandt is undefeated with 11 wins. He is coming off a decision win against former UFC Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz at UFC 207 in December.
