UFC featherweight contender Cub Swanson will fight Artem Lobov in the main event of a UFC Fight Night event on April 22.
The fight was announced on Saturday during the UFC 208 prelims on FOX Sports 1.
Swanson is on a three-fight win streak. In December, he won an exciting back-and-forth battle against Doo Ho Choi. His win streak also includes wins over Hacran Dias and Tatsuya Kawajiri.
Lobov is a training partner of UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor. He is on a two-fight win streak in the UFC. Lobov is coming off decision wins over Teruto Ishihara and Chris Avila.
The UFC also announced a plethora of intriguing matchups for this UFC Fight Night event at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
Lightweight contender Al Iaquinta will return to the UFC after a long absence to fight former title challenger Diego Sanchez.
A pivotal middleweight fight will also take place as former title challenger Thales Leites fights Sam Alvey.
A new title challenger in the flyweight division will emerge when Dustin Ortiz fights Brandon Moreno.
Former women’s strawweight title challenger Jessica Penne will fight Danielle Taylor.
Team Alpha Male’s Hector Sandoval will try to continue to climb the flyweight ladder when he fights Matt Schnell.
Lastly, lightweights Scott Holtzman and Michael McBride will also fight in Nashville.
