In an interview with USA Today Sports, UFC President Dana White offered a flurry of comments about some of the top contenders in the sport. First to note, White talked about UFC featherweight Jose Aldo and Max Holloway.
When asked if the two were going to see each other in the octagon,Dana remarked
“Yeah, this fight is going to happen. If I’m not mistaken, it’s actually Holloway that wanted to take some time off. So, Jose’s here. He’s ready to role.”
According to White, it would appear that Holloway and Aldo will, in fact, be squaring off in the near future, perhaps not due to any hindrance on Aldo’s part.
These comments come on the heels of Max Holloway’s long standing #WheresJoseWaldo campaign, blaming the former P4P king for their fight’s absence. These new comments from Dana White contradict the Hawaiian’s claims.
