UFC President Dana White is a man not to be messed with. The UFC President is an emotional and fierce businessman who often shoots from the hip, sometimes even to his own detriment.
In the case of rising light-heavyweight Misha Cirkunov, the UFC fighter learned this lesson the hard way.
The light-heavyweight contender, mid-contract negotiations pushed the UFC boss to far, and now the UFC will no longer have him.
In an interview with Canada’s TSN, White explains, “I met with Misha and his wife, and good people and everything else, but he ended up really flaking out on the deal. So I’m not interested. I’m done. He knows I’m done. I made it very clear I’m done.”
Cirkunov entered the UFC in 2015 and is currently unbeaten under the promotional banner with four straight stoppage victories to his credit. The Canadian was top 10 bound and already exists inside the top 10 of MMA media’s independent rankings.
No longer elgibible to fight under the UFC banner, White fully expects to fighter to land a deal with one of the UFC’s rival promotions… And he’s o.k. with that.
“You’ll see him somewhere,” White said. “It just won’t be here.”
Boom! Don’t mess with White!
