The rivalry between TJ Dillashaw and Team Alpha Male reached new heights when Cody “No Love” Garbrandt won the UFC Bantamweight Championship from longtime king Dominick Cruz at “UFC 207” last year. Going into the fight, fans had wondered whether or not Dillashaw would be next in line for a shot at the gold and the rivalry between him and “No Love” will see another chapter as they will host the upcoming season of “The Ultimate Fighter”.
The fighters over in Team Alpha Male push themselves to a new level every single day and that means the punches MIGHT be a little snug in sparring. Garbrandt stated that he had footage of him sending Dillashaw to the canvas during sparring session when they trained together, and TJ told MMA Fighting he’d love to see the footage:
“He keeps talking, he has footage on it. I think that’s hilarious because he’s digging himself a hole. If you’ve got footage on it, put it out. It has not happened. If he does, put it out there, because it didn’t happen.”
“We’ve definitely thrown down. Don’t get me wrong, Cody is a tough kid. It’s funny for him to talk about how he’s knocked me out before. The closest I’ve been to being knocked out is in the John Dodson fight when he clipped me.”
