Ultimate Fighting Championship has been a major supporter of the LGBT movement. UFC officials and fighters know it does not matter whether or not you are straight, gay, bisexual or transgender and as a matter of fact, there are a number of openly gay fighters in the octagon. UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes is currently dating Nina Ansaroff and she has become a great spokesperson for gay athletes who are struggling to come out as their true selves.
One fighter in particular wanted to make a bold move in showing that “as people, we are all one”. Former BAMMA champion and current undefeated UFC fighter Marc Diakiese took to the pages of Gay Times Magazine to become the first UFC fighter to post for a gay magazine:
.@Marc_Diakiese makes history as the first ever @ufc star to pose for a gay mag. We’re glad he’s on our side… https://t.co/iixbhgDmU6 pic.twitter.com/I5Qofly1hP
