Fight fans have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of Conor McGregor’s bout with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. since the rumors first broke out in 2016. Since then, Mayweather has tacked on another victory to his undefeated record and McGregor has made history by becoming the first fighter to hold two championships at the same time. While fans are cautious to believe this fight may actually happen, it seems as if the fight may soon become a reality.
As previously reported, McGregor was spotted in Las Vegas, Nevada despite having an appearance scheduled in Dublin, Ireland later on this week. He has canceled that event in favor of coming to the states, and Ariel Helwani has the scoop as to why the champion is in Vegas:
McGregor's plan has been: meet with NAC to clear issue, then TMT, then UFC. That's what's going on now. Early stages of that plan.

McGregor will be attacking three things while in Vegas: He will be speaking with the Nevada State Athletic Commission, then The Money Team, then meet company officials at the UFC.
