UFC lightweight contender “Raging” Al Iaquinta has been on hiatus from active competition in the UFC for almost two years. He last fought in April of 2015 when he defeated Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal at UFC Fight Night 63 via split decision and has been very vocal about wanting more money from the promotion ever since then. In fact, Iaquinta turned his focus to the New York real estate market and has been enjoying a new source of income during his time away from the octagon.
However, it looks like he’s finally going to be making his return when he faces Diego Sanchez at UFC Fight Night 108 on April 22nd. Iaquinta spoke to Ariel Helwani on yesterday’s edition of “The MMA Hour” and explained why he decided to return, despite the fact he’s still not exactly happy with his contract.
