UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s been hinting she would have an announcement of her next title defense. It seems like we have the date and opponent.
In a report from Sport.Pl in Poland, Jedrzejczyk will defend her title against Jessica Andrade at UFC 211 .
Jedrzejczyk is undefeated in 13 fights with seven of those in the UFC and four consecutive title defenses. She’s coming off a unanimous decision victory against Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC 205 back in November.
Since coming to the 115-pound division in June, Andrade’s (16-5) won all three of her fights including two by stoppage. The icing on the cake to the title opportunity was a hard-fought unanimous decision victory over Angela Hill nine days ago at UFC FIght Night 105.
UFC 211 takes place on May 13 from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. The main event features Stipe Miocic defending the UFC heavyweight title against Junior dos Santos.
Jedrzejczyk vs. Andrade is the likely co-main event of the show.
