Former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks has had a well documented struggle with making weight at 170lbs. In fact, during his last fight at UFC 207 against Neil Magny, Hendricks stepped on the scale at 173.5lbs during the early morning weigh-ins. The constant battle to make weight finally forced Hendricks to move up to the middleweight division and he’s now set to make his divisional debut against Hector Lombard this Sunday night at UFC Fight Night 105 in Halifax.
Hendricks stepped on the scale earlier and definitely looked much better in his new home at 185lbs. Of course it’s never an easy outing when you’re facing Hector Lombard, but Hendricks certainly enjoyed not having to deplete his body to hit 185.5lbs earlier.
