During an interview with Snoop Dogg, former UFC Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz revealed who his favorite fighter is.
To little surprise, Nick said his favorite fight is his brother Nate Diaz.
However, before changing his mind, Diaz surprisingly said his favorite fighter was former Interim UFC Welterweight Champion Carlos Condit.
“I think Carlos Condit,” Diaz said when Snoop Dogg asked who his favorite fighter today is. “No. He’s a nice guy though. But, my brother. Stylistically though I’ve always liked Carlos Condit because he amounted to at least somewhat at the level of doing what I do. But I think he stands a little upright.”
Diaz fought Condit for the interim welterweight title back in Feb. 2012. Condit went on to win a decision, but Diaz has always been critical of the loss. Diaz, and fans, made claims of Condit running away from Diaz during their fight.
Nate Diaz is coming off the biggest year of his MMA career. In March, at UFC 196, Diaz submitted current UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor. Diaz is the only fighter to defeat McGregor in the UFC. Nate Diaz is currently coming off a decision loss to McGregor in August at UFC 202.
Condit is on a two-fight losing streak. He is coming off a first-round submission loss to Demian Maia in August. In January 2016, Condit lost a controversial split decision to then UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler.
