On Wednesday, it was revealed former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre is close to signing a new deal with the UFC.
St-Pierre has not fought in the UFC since 2013. He left the promotion as the welterweight champion.
The sports gambling site Bovada is already allowing people to bet on who St-Pierre will make his return to the octagon against.
Here is the list of fighters and the odds of them welcoming St-Pierre back to the UFC.
- Michael Bisping 5/4
- Anderson Silva 3/1
- Stephen Thompson 5/1
- Tyron Woodley 5/1
- Nick Diaz 11/2
- Robbie Lawlor 11/2
- BJ Penn 12/1
- CM Punk 150/1
UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping is the betting favorite to fight St-Pierre. Both fighters have shown interest in the fight as well.
Former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva is the second betting favorite to welcome back St-Pierre. A highly anticipated superfight between the two was rumored to take place back in 2013. However, the fight never took place due to St-Pierre leaving the UFC and Silva losing his middleweight title.
UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson are the next betting favorites. The two will fight for the welterweight title in the main event of UFC 209 on March 4. It would make sense for St-Pierre to try and regain the title he never lost.
Also among the fighters you can bet on are St-Pierre’s longtime rival Nick Diaz, former UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler, UFC Hall of Famer BJ Penn, and former WWE star CM Punk.
