Bellator light heavyweight Liam McGreary has come back with a vengeance.
After losing the light heavyweight title to Phil Davis back at Bellator 163, McGreary returned to form with a second round TKO against Brett McDermott at last night’s Bellator 173.
McGreary snagged the second round TKO by means of doctor stoppage, due to a nasty cut above McDermott’s eye.
The first round was met with a knee wobbling strike by McDermott, leaving the former champion stunned on the mat. McGreary recoiled with a blast of knees to McDermott’s face, nearly cutting his maw to the point of TKO.
The second round was dominated by McGreary, with just over a minute of precise blows that finalized the doctor stoppage.
McGreary has only has one loss on his professional record, thanks to Bellator 163’s Phil Davis. Though it would appear that the former champion is not interested in repeating that experience.
