Fedor Emelianenko returns to fight in the United States on Saturday night for the first time in five-and-half years when he fights Matt Mitrione in the main event of Bellator 172. It is the first time the famed Russian heavyweight has fought for the Viacom-owned promotion.
In lieu of his much anticipated return to the United States, the promotion released a photo of the former PRIDE heavyweight champion and perhaps the greatest heavyweight and fighter of all-time.
Bellator 172 takes on Saturday night from the SAP Center in San Jose, CA. The main card begins at 9 p.m. on Spike TV.
