Michael “Venom” Paige has been campaigning for his opportunity to step up his level of competition by squaring off with Paul “Semtex” Daley inside the Bellator cage. While that fight could still become a reality, the up-and-comer will have to wait his return to fight his fellow countryman.
Bellator has confirmed that Rory MacDonald vs. Paul Daley has been made official for Bellator 179 in London, England. The event will take place on May 19 inside the SSE Arena. Daley has been on a warpath as of late, most recently knocking out Brennan Ward with a flying knee at Bellator 170.
MacDonald will be making his Bellator debut in this bout, and will be hoping to prove that he still has what it takes to not only prove he can hang in the UFC, but elevate Bellator’s division.
