Two Division Champ? McGregor Comments On The Status Of His “Two” UFC Belts …

When Conor McGregor beat Eddie Alvarez in the UFC 205 main event, the Irish star made history.

In capturing the UFC lightweight strap that night, Conor became the first fighter in history to hold two UFC titles simultaneously.

Crowned the UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, UFC officials made the decision to strip Conor of his 145 pound belt. The company allowed their star to have his historic moment. But, they remained steadfast in their policy to no allow a single fighter to hold up two divisions.

Conor though, he still considers himself the two-division champion, as evidenced by the latest statement to his Instagram:

I am not just the champion of true fighting. I am the double champion.
