Mixed martial artists tend to go a bit harder in the gym when they are training with someone who is on the Ultimate Fighting Championship roster. Whether it be because they need to prove it to themselves or other people in the gym, those training partners may need to be avoided in the future if stories like this continue to pop out.
Light heavyweight Corey Anderson was recently on the mats and was actually bit during a sparring session. While it happens that the attacker in a submission hold such as a rear-naked-choke is susceptible to being bitten but the person in the hold, this is completely different:
Today I was bit during sparring… I can def say that was a first. Lol but I respect his never quit mentality. #byanymeansnecessary
