Despite the earlier fights being worth the price of admission, fans who had paid for their seats finally started to fill the arena once Chas Skelly and Chris Gruetzemacher made their way to the octagon for the televised preliminaries.
Neither fighter landed flush before Skelly secured the first takedown of the fight. Besides the takedown, neither fighter did anything to capture the momentum in the first round. Skelly would secure another takedown at the start of the second after working him on the feet. It wasn’t long before Skelly wrapped his arms around the neck of Gruetzemacher and tapped him out with a rear naked choke for the win!
