Adam Milstead and Curtis Blaydes wrapped up the preliminary portion of “UFC Fight Night 104” in Houston, Texas with their featured heavyweight clash on FS1. It took Blaydes all of ten seconds to charge and land his first takedown, and twenty more seconds to slam Milstead twice more. Blaydes absolutely dominated in the first round, but Milstead was able to escape and make it to the second despite taking so much punishment.
In between rounds, Milstead babysat his left leg in between rounds. Knowing his leg was hurt, Milstead chose to press forward with the fight and fighting off a takedown attempt would put an early end to the fight. Milstead’s left leg remained planted on the mat while Blaydes tried to drag the rest of his body down, bending the knee in the opposite direction and ending the fight with a grueling leg injury in the second round.
