Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza put everything at risk when he walked into the octagon at “UFC 208”, taking on Tim Boetsch who is far below his rank in the middleweight division. “Jacare” knows has proven time and time again he is championship material, but underdog Boetsch hoped to shock the world with a heavy-handed knockout.
Jacare closed the distance within the first minute of the fight, working for a takedown to which Boetsch responded with short-ranged uppercuts. Boetsch caught Jacare off guard with a left hook and once Jacare felt his power he knew he wanted to end the fight. Jacare took Boetsch down to the mat and transitioned to side control before making his way to mount. Jacare grabbed a hold of Boetsch’s arm and twisted it into a kimura, forcing Boetsch to submit.
