The Ultimate Fighting Championship is the pinnacle of mixed martial arts. Their roster consists of over four-hundred men and women all fighting for the same prize: The championship of their respective divisions. Some fighters are prepared to storm to the top of their weight class, but others are at a point in their career where they may not have realized their full potential. Often is the case that UFC decides to part ways with them for them to continue their journeys elsewhere.
Viktor Pesta was recently informed by officials that his time with the premier fight league has come to an end. The heavyweight is currently riding a three-fight losing streak which kicked off with a brutal knockout loss to Derrick Lewis at UFC 192. Pesta’s record inside the octagon was just 1-4. Pesta broke the news on his social media:
My journey with UFC has officially ended. It's a hard pill to swallow but I do understand that my losses have consequences.
