Another Top UFC Fighter Refuses UFC’s Contract Renewal In Favor Of Free Agency

UFC boss Dana White.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship is the pinnacle of mixed martial arts. Their roster consists of over four-hundred men and women all fighting for the same prize: The championship of their respective divisions. Some fighters are prepared to storm to the top of their weight class, but others may be at a point in their career where they have not realized their full potential. Often is the case that UFC decides to part ways with them for them to continue their journeys elsewhere.

However, UFC saw value in a name like Albert Tumenov. With an impressive record of six wins and two losses, the company offered Tumenov a new deal on his contract. However, Tumenov has chosen to likely pass on that offer and test the free agency pool:

“My friends fans. Recently, I received a call from the UFC organization, with a proposal to rewrite the contract, the terms of the proposal were unacceptable, and most likely I’ll be a free agent. Thank God now a lot of other organizations, even in Russia, which has come on the heels of the UFC. My last two defeats were due to my illness, as you know, I was recently in Korea, and praise to God the treatment was successful. Now you will see this “Einstein.” What organization? We will see. #ufc #tumenov”

#ufc #tumenov
