The Ultimate Fighting Championship roster is one of the most diverse in sports history; Fighters come from all around the world to showcase their talents in the world-famous octagon and as made obvious with the translator at “UFC Fight Night 106”, not every fighter can speak perfect English.
Fighters know that if they want to earn money on the level of Conor McGregor, Nate Diaz, Brock Lesnar, or Ronda Rousey they will have to talk the talk as much as they can walk the walk. Foreign fighters put the effort into learning English, but learning an entirely new language could be extremely difficult.
That’s why when Colby Covington made fun of former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos’ latest tweet for its grammar, he received some heat. Covington called out dos Anjos who fired back with a quick insult:
@ColbyCovMMA hey man, I had to google your name to know how you are. Keep begging.

Covington fired back at the former champion, making fun of his grammar:
I will give you a fighting lesson then a English lesson moron. Sign the dotted line and I will end you. https://t.co/MSJKQwDSAZ

dos Anjos has clearly made an effort to learn the language that is not native to him; Do you think Covington took it too far? Share your thoughts and state whether this fight piques your interest in the comment section below!
