Last Saturday, when Kelvin Gastelum easily dispatched Vitor Belfort in the UFC on Fox Sports 1 main event, the TUF champion took to the mic in post-victory celebration and called out MMA icon Anderson Silva.
That was just three days ago, and the UFC has now announced that fight as official.
The two middleweight fighters have agreed to square off at UFC 212. While placement of the bout is yet to be announced, it will no doubt be on the night’s main pay-per-view card.
UFC 212 is set to be headlined by a Max Holloway vs. Jose Aldo featherweight title fight. The pay-per-view airs from the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on June 3.
